From Glacier we drove back through Missoula, had a meal at Romaines…and…we might have stopped in at ImagineNation for a beer. Then it was Coeur d’alane…it’s a pretty e but a little too busy. From there we drove into Spokane..and another KOA. Yay! After a couple of days in the hustle and bustle of Spokane we decided to make a push for the Cascades.
The drive took us through some rather remote and dry country…contrary to popular belief, in our family anyway, the state of Washington is mostly VERY dry. We had a nice relaxing day in the quaint town of Ellensburg, crossed the Columbia river going into Yakima, and made our way into the forest. We set up camp on Iron Creek and spent the better part of a month exploring the surrounding wilderness.
